240 x 140 cm Oil and blood on linen 2024 -- These paintings (1949 and 2024) were conceived as a direct response to Adania Shilbi's 2017 novel Minor Detail (تفصيل ثانوي in Arabic) and depict the aftermath of a scene in 1949, one year after the Nakba, where a young Palestinian Bedouin woman is raped and killed by a group of Israeli soldiers in the Al-Naqab desert. This region has since been subject to countless home demolitions and human rights abuses by the Zionist entity in its brutal bid to ethnically cleanse the area of Palestinian Bedouins.
