Combining the influences of psychedelia, spiritual invocation and occult script, ‘Ruthless Wandering’ takes rope bondage and expressionist painting as starting points to work with ‘thoughtforms’. The work is a response to clairvoyant theosophist Annie Besant’s characterisation of thoughtforms as the ‘nature of thought determines form/the definitiveness of thought determines clearness of outcome’. Multiple live painting performances will be open to the public to witness clandestine influences as they channel through the artist.
